A daybed cover will have 3 sides, and not cover up the back of the daybed, since this is usually already covered by the frame or a wall. If the back of your daybed mattress is visible, it will be a better idea to go with a daybed spread, which is closer to a standard bed spread that drops down on all 4 sides.
